01 · Figma Config
Config is an inspirational, huge gathering of designers and builders. Most of the talks are about craft and the work itself, so I saw an opportunity to create more intimate gatherings around career growth, space for inward reflection, moments to go analog and make something with our hands. These are three independent side events that I designed and executed end-to-end.

I started my career as a social media strategist, but I was always part of larger teams activating large-scale events, from Samsung Unpacked to the Super Bowl. Working across different teams and roles taught me to see the big picture, not just my piece of it. Outside of work, I was always tinkering with events of my own: hosting my own event series, speaker series, networking brunches, and more.

03 · The intersection
I am always pushing myself toward mastery in experience design, brand and strategy. Constantly experimenting with new ways to bring people together, through gatherings and approaches to hospitality that help people feel present together, to feel, connect, and learn.
I believe brand is both a vehicle and a vessel: a way for people to express themselves, and a way to gather like-minded folks around a shared identity. In-person experiences are one of the last places that let us be present together, be human together, and create culture together.
04 · Connecting the dots
I'm a creative who's already designed for the creative community. I've managed the full event cycle, from strategic planning and concepting to end-to-end ownership, both as a team of one and as part of larger teams and marketing initiatives. And my coaching work shapes how I show up on a team: as a guide and a good teammate who helps people do their best work.
From the outside looking in and without knowing what's already in motion internally.
Figma's YouTube series "Source Material" is such a smart idea. Bringing it to life at events, where creatives experience a range of inspirational moments firsthand, could make it even more powerful.
Config already does the main experiences so well. My hunch is there's room in the in-between: small moments of connection, humanness and inspiration, a little surprise and delight, even a quiet place for introverts to rebalance. The interesting challenge: keeping the big conference, but designing it intentionally so it still feels impactful for everyone, from different walks of life.
Friends of Figma is home to a big chunk of Figma's biggest fans. There must be a treasure trove of insights in there about what they love, so that the brand team can create not only from the top down, but also from the bottom up, with the community.
As we enter the next era of creativity, and more AI slop, I believe Figma can be the place that helps creatives feel expansive, do what they do best across the whole creative process, grow and create even more meaningful work.
These are exactly the things that I care about and I am eager to contribute and increase the impact of this brand.
